چکیده

Achieving a fossil-resources-free power supply requires an exploration of alternative, renewable energy sources. Over the last years, biomass has become an important component of this endeavour and its consumption is rising steadily. Common sources of biomass are agricultural production and forestry but the production of these sources is stagnating due to limited space. To explore new sources of biomass, for example in the field of landscape conservation, the location and available amount of biomass must be obtained. Normally, there are no reliable data sources that give information about the objects of interest like hedges and vegetation along streets, railways, rivers and field margins. There is a great demand for an inventory of these biomass sources which could be answered by applying remote sensing technology. To generate that kind of spatial information, satellite imagery is used in combination with areawide available GIS and elevation data. The multispectral satellite images are assumed to have a low spatial resolution of 10-20 m and spectral bands corresponding to the Sentinel-2 spatial and spectral configurations. For GIS data, the German Digital Landscape Model (ATKIS Base-DLM), containing roads, field boundaries and waterways, supports the mapping allowing for deduction of potential biomass objects located beside GIS objects. To allow a quantitative estimation of the biomass volume, a digital surface model (DSM), produced from raw LIDAR data, is utilized.

PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF [Ni (MAP) ] ; H- MAP = 2- (METHYLAMINO) PYRIDINE H. Aghabozorg* and H. H. Monfared

We have recently synthesized [Ni (MAP) ] complex [H-MAP= 2- (methylamino) pyridine]. 2- (Methy1amino)pyridine reacts with MeLi in THF and generates the lithium salt (Li-MAP). Further reaction of NiCl with two equivalent of this ligand in THF leads to the formation of a dark red solution. Analytical data, molecular weight, and magnetic susceptibility of this complex confirm the formula [N...

Preparation of Rangeland vegetation cover map and monitoring its changes in drought and wet periods using NDVI MODIS product (Case Study: Southern Rangelands of Yazd Province)

Knowledge of rangeland vegetation characteristics as well as factors affecting it in environmental planning, land management and sustainable development is very important. However, regional and up-to-date maps of pasture vegetation cover are not always available. In this study, in order to plot the vegetation cover percentage of the rangelands and monitor its changes in drought and wet periods,...

Identification of potential traits and selection criteria for yield improvement in sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) genotypes under rainfed conditions

Sesame is an important oilseed crop in India. To determine potential traits and selection criteria for yield improvement, ninety sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) genotypes were studied in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The data collected on 13 characters were subjected to three different analyses. In variability analysis, high heritability was accompanied by a high genet...

Preparation and Purification of Polyclonal Antibodies against Mycobacterium Avium Paratuberculosis Antigens in Rabbit

Background and Objective: Johne’s disease is the chronic granulomatous enteritis of ruminants, and a major health hazard worldwide. In recent years, researchers have focused on mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) antigens in diagnostic tests. Identification of antibodies against MAP antigens is, therefore, effective for the diagnosis or preparation of vaccine. The aim of this stud...
